Inga Elín is an ceramic artist born in Reykjavík, Iceland in 1957. She has been making ceramics for over 48 years becoming one of the leading ceramic artists in Iceland. In her early years she moved to Copenhagen to study at Skolen for Brugskunst. She graduated in 1988 and received an award for her work by the Queen of Denmark. Since then she has devoted her life to mostly ceramics and has always sought her influence to the vast nature of her home country.
Inga Elín has been working closely with restaurants and was making dinnerware for the Icelandic Culinary Team as well. The trophy for the Icelandic Music Awards has been made by her the last 18 years and today she makes 5 other trophys as well. She continues broadening the scope of her collection as the years go by.
